Welcome to the don't miss event of 2010

April 28th to May 2nd 2010

Now in its 4th year and dubbed ARC-X for the roman numeral “10" and named “Double Jeopardy” for the fact that there are two competitions within one event; the 2010 Adventure Rider Challenge (ARC) is North America's most exciting “Adventure Event.” The ARC has grown with each passing year and for ARC X we promise to deliver an event that will surpass all previous years activities.

We are both pleased and proud to add the incredible GS Trophy competition to this years Challenge. Just as a teaser, the GS trophy challenge is your chance to win an all expenses paid trip to South Africa to represent the United States in an international riding skills competition. “Team USA” will be selected from a group of the top 20 competitors in this year’s Adventure Riders Challenge. Click here for the details.

Our inaugural challenge was held in 2007 and was the first time ever that a competitive event was hosted in North America for “large displacement” enduro motorcycles. With each passing year the format of the event has been modified slightly to keep it fun and exciting but there are always three distinct themes to the Adventure Riders Challenge.

scenic vistaFirst are epic rides! RawHyde’s setting in Southern California provides access to some of the finest adventure rides on the planet. From the coastal mountain ranges with breath-taking views of the pacific ocean to the vastness of the Mojave desert; lots of amazing riding is available. GPS tracks & maps are provided to guide you to a variety of awesome places.

Bill Dragoo crosses the PitSecond is the annual competition! This year there will be two competitive programs. The first is a double jeopardy canyoneering task for three man teams. The second is a test of individual prowess in our trials-style arenas. In previous years The ARC has showcased many diabolical tasks to be completed. Included among these are "The Pit;" a tight half-mile crevasse in which teams of three riders were forced to muscle their bikes through forbidding terrain in a no holds barred time trial.

the pendulumsIn the solo competition riders have faced massive teeter-totters, suspension bridges, sand pits, mud bogs and a megalithic gauntlet of pendulums in our trials arena. All of these tasks are designed to test the mettle of a wide spectrum of riders ranging from novice to experienced... and while these tasks may sound daunting, rest assured they are mostly low speed skills tests with every rider brandishing mud-caked grins from ear to ear. In 2010 we promise to add some thrilling new elements as well as utilizing some “old favorites” to make the Double Jeopardy Challenge our best ever.

in the pitLast but not least - is the camaraderie you’ll find! Where else will you find 250 fellow Adventurers? You will have the chance to go riding with folks who love the same thing as yourself. You’ll spend evenings around the campfire together sharing the very best in cuisine, entertainment, etc. with your fellow riders. Top notch food will be prepared by RawHyde’s chefs and is sure to satisfy the cravings brought on by long and fulfilling days of serious riding. Live music and presentations will be the evening's entertainment as well as face to face interaction with some of the most noted vendors of adventure riding products and accessories. BMW Motorrad, Touratech USA, Bikebandit.com, Happy-Trails.com, Jesse Luggage and many others.

All this and more wrapped up into three days that will not to be forgotten. If you own an “Adventure Bike;" you do not want to miss this event. It embodies every possible aspect of why you ride such a machine. Ask anyone who has been with us in the last few of years… It’s a blast. Please join us in April 2010 for some fantastic rides, true camaraderie and of course... the competition.
